On March 16, 2026, Arts Culture Catawba will hold its inaugural Arts Education Summit. This event will celebrate the achievements of those in our community dedicated to teaching young people the value of the arts, including: art, music, dance, drama, band, and chorus teachers and directors in elementary, middle, and high schools based in Catawba County; college professors teaching subjects in the arts or directing performing arts groups; and any other community arts educators. School district representatives, City and County leadership, and any others invested in the arts are also welcome to attend.
-
At the event, we will award three K-12 educators $500 grants for their excellence in arts education. You may apply for a grant when registering your attendance. There will be an optional section in the registration form with application questions pertaining to this grant.
-
Teachers may use this event to earn 0.3 CEU credits.
-
Local art organizations will be set up at vendor tables, highlighting their education programs and opportunities to connect and network with teachers.
-
Several group discussion activities will take place throughout the summit, covering topics relevant to the arts education landscape.
Below is the general registration link for all participants. If you are applying for a grant, you must submit your registration by February 6th in order to be eligible for consideration. All other registrations must be entered by March 6th. We hope to see you there!
